Kidnappers Overrun Ughelli, Abduct Pregnant Mother Of Three, Business Man, Others

Tension is currently high in Ughelli North local government area as suspected kidnappers have allegedly overrun communities in the areas without hindrance from various sections of security operatives.
This has brought remarkable fear to business owners and residents over the unabated uprise in kidnapping.
A-29-year old pregnant mother of three, simply identified as Mrs Ovuoke was on Monday morning kidnapped at Iwhre-Ovie community, in Ughelli North Local government Area of Delta state.
It was learned that Mrs Ovuoke was gong to a local massaging centre when the incident occurred in the community.
Source at Iwhre-Ovie revealed that Mrs Ovuoke kidnap is the recent as over four persons, two men and women have been abducted respectively at different locations two weeks.
A source who spoke on anonymous condition disclosed, “Before this recent incident, a woman popularly known as madam Akamu, madam Julie, two young men who name could not be confirmed were kidnapped within a week and a ransom were paid for their release each.
“Another man was abducted from his house few days ago before the pregnant woman on October 2.
“One of the women that was kidnapped with her car which was later found at Uwheru community.
After the collection of ramson from the husband, Mr Kingsley Akpojaro, the leader of the gang took the vehicle with its original particulars with the intentions to sell it.
“Not satisfied with the intention, some of the kidnappers contacted the vehicle owner through their channel of communication and inform that, the vehicle is at Uwheru community and if they are not fast enough, their boss will sell it off.
“They got to the exact location to retrieve it without the original particulars” the anonymous source revealed.
“We are now sleeping with our two eyes and ears open because we do not know the next target.The security architecture in the community is nothing to write home about.
A family source who confirmed the incident to Politicsgovernance.com said “Her abductors have made contact with the husband and they are demanding N5 million ransom from the poor man.
“We are pleading with the kidnappers to release her unhurt and unconditionally for the sake of the unborn child, they should have pity and set her free” the family source appealed.
In a related development, a business man who popularly known as ‘TEN TEN’ has been kidnapped along Isoko road in Ughelli metropolis.
“TEN TEN, a dealer on electrical materials was abducted at about 8:pm on the October 2 after closing from his shop.
“It was gathered, the man had closed from from his shop for day when he got a call from a customer that want to buy goods worth good amount of money.
Another source alleged that a customer had called that that he wanted to carry cables bought earlier in the day.
“The man came back to the store and after attending to the said  customer as he was about to leave, his abductors swept on him.
“His resistance led to sporadic shooting where the people and road users scamper for safety.
“The CCTV cameras were put off and this calls for suspicious and his Highlander jeep was shattered with bullets.
Sources disclosed that his  abductors waited patiently for over an hour for him to close before they took him.
“We saw the Toyota Camry parked and we thought they were police officers because they were all in black attires and all of them came out of the car except for the driver.
“Immediately the man close from the shop, they accosted him, shattered his vehicle windscreen, puncture all the car tyres and they began to shoot sporadically before they bundle him into their car and zoom to unknown destination.”
